1) A complete application packet consists of: (a)
the one-page Personal
and Academic Information Form, (b) a curriculum
vitae, (c) an essay, (d) three letters of
recommendation, (e) transcripts, and (f) test
scores.
2) Mail the completed information form, curriculum
vitae, and essay together in one envelope to:
Ruth Spence Harden Memorial
Scholarship Fund, Inc.

3) Your curriculum vitae should include at least
the following information: (a) the names of all high
schools, colleges and universities attended, together
with dates of attendance, fields of study, and degrees received
or expected; (b) academic honors or recognitions
you have received; and (c) community or extra-curricula
activities (eg., summer internships, work-study, enterprises,
travel, volunteer work) related to the achievement of your
academic and/or professional goals.
4) Your essay should discuss your reasons for undertaking
study in business, what you expect to derive personally,
and what contributions to society you plan to make in the
business world.
5) Letters of recommendation should be mailed by
the referees directly to the Ruth Spence Harden Memorial
Scholarship Fund, Inc. at the address given above.
6) Official transcripts from all the high schools
(if you have never attended college) or from all the colleges
and universities you have attended may be issued to you
for you to enclose with your application.
7) Please request that required test scores (eg.,
SAT, ACT or GRE) be sent by the testing service directly
to the Ruth Spence Harden Memorial Scholarship Fund,
Inc. at the address given above. Alternatively, you
may enclose a copy of your score report with your application.
8) The closing date for receiving completed applications
is April 30th. Please postmark your materials no
later than that date and ask your referees, schools issuing
transcripts, and test services to do the same. Please do
not fax or e-mail materials.
